The start to a good game is having a good foundation to build off, and that's how we have started the development of Mythical Matchmaker. Over the last 12 or so weeks we have been delving deep into the research surrounding our game, leaving no stone unturned and no question unanswered, and even with all that, there is still much we must consider. One of the most crucial things that we have been pondering is the characters we want to include in our cast. The cast will play an important role in our game so choosing the right characters has been a very difficult task, and one which we only recently completed. We are eagerly waiting to show them to you but we have a few more things to rattle through first.
Between us finishing the initial idea and now, we have spent a lot of time putting things in place so the rest of the project will go as smoothly as possible. Most of the progress has been back-end, such as this website, setting up social media accounts, itch pages, and much more. Along side all the back-end stuff, we have also been working on a prototype to demonstrate the general feel and to introduce some of our characters. This prototype is functional but very bare bones, this is to minimise the amount of time spent coding so more effort can be put into other areas.
We are also happy to share with you some initial concepts for a few characters and even an early narrative excerpt for the intro sequence. In terms of the future for our game, we are looking at exploring more about the characters, their personalities and intricacies, how they would act around other characters and how that works within our game. We hope to share more designs and characters with you over the coming weeks. We hope you are just as excited as us for this project and we thank you for your support.
