Settings menu
This week, we looked into some features we could add to the game that would make it more accessible for others. From a lot of our playtest feedback, one of the main suggestions was to change the speed at which the text appears on screen, this was an easy fix and also meant incorporating a settings menu to house other options.
One of the most discussed additions was a colour blind mode. Colour-blindness affects around 4.5% of UK citizens, so it seems a no brainer to us, especially since it's an easy implementation. We added support for 3 types of colour blindness being Protanopia, Deuteranopia and Tritanopia, and we hope that it makes a difference for those affected.
Alongside these other changes, we also added a volume slider. It doesn't do much at the moment as we don't have any audio, however, later down the line we can retrofit functionality for it. We hope that these changes allow more people to enjoy our game, and if you want to see more updates, stay tuned for next week's Devlog!
