Welcome to the October month in review, the best place for all news on Mythical matchmaker and New Cubed. Lets jump right in with a progress report, at the time of writing we haven't made any substantial progress on the game. As stated before, we are spending a lot of time at the moment putting things in order for the smoothest transition into working from home. One major change is a complete reshuffle of the narrative design process. As you may know our lead narrative designer is Eli, he has written and perfected all narrative scripts in the game as of current.
However because of having a busy work life outside of working on the game, in order to keep up with the workload Eli is moving into a more senior position becoming a Narrative lead, and the workload will reshuffle having the rest of the team write narrative and Eli will look over the scripts giving feedback and adding the final layers of finish to make them legible and bring them up to the standard you are all used to!
Something to look forward to are code streams that will be hosted by the games programmer Nathan and will give insight into the design process and what goes in to the programming side of the game. The games art designer Will has also started streaming and does art streams showing off his commission work. So keep an eye out for more mythical matchmaker themed content coming soon!
Another big part of Mythical matchmakers journey to completion is advertising, and a big part of how we market our game lies in exhibitions. One upcoming event is the Southampton university arts and humanities fair where mythical matchmaker will be on show in its current state. So if you are around come down and check it out.
This months update is a bit shorter than last, but that is the unfortunate nature of current events. But fear not we promise big things are in the works!
As always thanks for reading! And stay tuned for more monthly updates,
- The NEW Cubed team
